Agreement Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Libre WebUI website (librewebui.org) and the Libre WebUI open source software. By accessing this website or using the software, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Software

2.1 AI Provider Integrations

Libre WebUI allows you to connect to third-party AI providers including but not limited to:

  • Anthropic
  • Google (Gemini)
  • Groq
  • Mistral
  • OpenRouter

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining and maintaining valid API credentials
  • Complying with the terms of service of each provider you use
  • Any costs incurred from using third-party API services
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations

2.2 Local Models (Ollama)

When using local models via Ollama, you are responsible for:

  • Complying with the license terms of individual AI models you download
  • Ensuring your hardware meets the requirements for running models
  • Any computational costs associated with running models locally

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 Permitted Uses

You may use Libre WebUI for any lawful purpose, including:

  • Personal and educational use
  • Commercial applications
  • Research and development
  • Integration into your own products and services

3.2 Prohibited Uses

In alignment with our Ethical Charter, you agree not to use Libre WebUI to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Generate content that violates human rights or dignity
  • Develop or deploy autonomous weapons systems
  • Conduct mass surveillance operations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Generate illegal content including CSAM or non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Circumvent security measures of other systems
  • Impersonate others for fraudulent purposes

The content on this website is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the information.

4.2 Intellectual Property

The Libre WebUI name, logo, and branding are trademarks of the Libre WebUI project. The website content is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless otherwise noted.

4.3 User Conduct

When using this website, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the website

  • The software collects zero telemetry
  • All data remains on your local device or self-hosted server

7. Indemnification
